Go with the Flow... Why Resist!

It has been quite a long time since my last post. Actually I have been in some kind of a fix since the last 2 months. What am I doing... What am I supposed to do... What I want to get... Where I want to go... These and many other related questions pronged through my mind again and again. Therefore I thought to do a self analysis or say self assessment as to what exactly I want from life and trying to find the answer of the above questions.
Meanwhile, I am not able to concentrate at my present or say not able to do any work properly, being so casual, careless, negligent . I want things to happen in some particular way but they do not turn out to be so. Due to this negligence and neglectfulness, I am not able to enjoy life to its fullest.

One solution that I got from self analysis is... "Just go with the flow". I heard this simple example some time back on TV from a Religious-Guru. The example was like this... when we travel in a bus, after some time we get tired. Its natural to get tired in a journey. But what we do is... when the bus turns on one side, we resist it by leaning on the opposite side; when brakes are applied, we resist it by stopping ourselves from leaning forward. This resistance makes the journey more and more tiring and thus we get exhausted after the journey. Although we cannot stop the tiredness caused due to journey, but we can minimize it. The key lies in resisting as less as possible. In the same way... life is also a journey and we cannot stop the hurdles or difficulties from coming to us. But we can minimize them by just doing what is right or taking the right action in a particular situation. We can get over the difficulties by facing them and finding a solution to them and not by opposing them.

Now, this makes me remember another example. A swimmer crosses a flowing river by going with its flow and not against it. When he goes with the flow of water, its the water itself which helps him cross the river easily. He will face more difficulties while crossing against the flow as in that case he will have to put-in more efforts to cross the river.

Thus, I concluded that its better to accept difficulties as part of life and there is no use cursing and saying why did this happen to me. If you resist, its you who is going to feel uncomfortable and unhappy. Either way, you have to face the difficulty whether u accept it or resist it. But when you accept difficulties, you can find better solutions and more easily. So, Just Go with the flow of life and then you will see that life is beautiful and everything in life has a purpose.
There's a well known fact...
"One cannot enjoy happiness without knowing what sadness is...After all Happiness and Sadness are the two sides of the same coin"
